Streaming live events from local venues. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. A Web site called Gander.TV started out with the idea of putting live streaming cameras in bars….but soon learned that some folks find that kind of thing pretty creepy. So, they re-booted into a company that lets venues stream live events. CEO Chris Carey…
“Our platform basically streams the performances live and while we’re streaming we also record and then it’s archived. And as a consumer you can go to the venue page on our site and you can see the history of all the performances we’ve recorded as thumbnails and some of these are like ten feet long of content that you can choose from.”
More than ten thousand in all that you can choose from…from music…to comedy and more. Gander.TV started out in New York City and is branching out to other cities around the country. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
