The connected home extends to your teeth.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Proctor and Gamble’s Oral B brand has been one of the top performing electric tooth brushes for many years.   And now it has what it calls the SmartSeries brush with Bluetooth.   Global Scientific Communications Manager John Scarchilli says the technology allows two way communication between the brush and the smartphone…

“When you start your brush, the app will start up and it will give you like a visual timer with sort of a picture of the mouth and it will direct you to each quadrant of the mouth for thirty second increments to get you up to a two minute brushing.   It will also be tracking pressure as it does that, it’ll know how hard you’re pushing on the teeth.”
