Put a little robot in that holiday stocking. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. They’re about the size of a large marble…but Ozobots are packed with sensors and are designed to be fun for both kids and grown ups. They are the creation of a company called Evollve…where CEO Nader Hamda says….the sensors can tell whether they are on paper or an iPad….
“It can then react to colors and patterns on both surfaces. And it can also react to lights. It can read code. You can color in codes for it to read. It will identify different color codes and execute commands against that. It has the ability to memorize up to 500 different codes that you can introduce to Ozobot.”
There are apps for both Android and iOS that work with Ozobot. And it is a great introduction to programming. The price…about fifty dollars. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
