FitBit meets the competition with all new devices. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. FitBit has been a leader in the wearable fitness tech category…and they are all about motivating users through friendly competition. Well, FitBit has lots of competition itself to face these days, and it isn’t standing still. The FitBit Flex is still available….but now the Fitness Charge is out in time for the holidays and there are others on the way. Product Marketing Manager Daniel Shaw says no matter which smartphone you carry you’ll be able to connect….
“We work with 120 plus smart devices, so we’re one of the few, and we’re very proud of that, to be able to integrate into your day easily. So whether you have iOS, Android or even the new Microsoft phone, we’re able to work with that with over 120 plus of those devices.”
The FitBit Flex …besides the fitness tracking…will also alert you to incoming calls. It sells for under 130 dollars. For consumers…the competition is making things more interesting. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
