Hands on with Sling TV

Hands on with Sling TV.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Dish Network….best known for delivering satellite TV…is now in the business of delivering live TV via the Internet.      Customers will be able to watch about a dozen channels at the start….including ESPN, CNN and Disney….for twenty dollars a month, no contract required through Sling TV.   How will customers watch?  Dish VP Bob Toevs …

“A variety of ways, many of which people will likely already have.   If you have a TV, we will stream over a Roku box, over the Amazon Fire TV device as well as the new Fire Stick.  We’ll be on the Google Nexus player.  If you have an Android or an iOS device, there will be an app for each of those platforms.”

Some additional channel packages …for kids and news are available too…and Dish expects the Sling TV line up to grow over time.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
