Can you make some bread with selfies?   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Okay…so that was sort of a trick question.   Sure you can make some bread with selfies.   Actually, what you can make is toast with a photo image….selfie or otherwise…that shows up on the bread.   It’s from a company called Vermont Novelty Toaster….and available from Hammacher Schlemmer where Director of Merchandising Stephen Farrell says…since selfies are all the rage…

“So we devised a way where somebody would buy the toaster, get a link to a Web site that allows you to upload a high resolution image and then they go to work.  They actually do a very detailed stainless steel insert that then gets sent out to you and you place it in the toaster when you’d like.  You don’t have to have it in there all the time.  And you can get an image on a piece of toast.”
