New designs from Dyson. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. When it comes to bringing innovation to mundane things like vacuum cleaners, household fans and commercial hand dryers, Dyson has proven itself to be in a class all by itself. Now the company is out with a new V6 cordless model with interchangeable cleaning heads and an even more powerful motor. Also new are the Cinetic models which don’t need a filter at all. Senior design engineer Rob Green….
“We basically got to the point now where the Cyclone system is so efficient, that it’s filtering out all this microscopic tiny, tiny dust and dirt. And we’re talking mold spores, allergens, pollen here. And we’re filtering it all out in the cyclone, in that bin. So we no longer require the filter.”
There are upright and canister versions of the Cinetic all with HEPA filtration….amazingly without a filter. Like all Dyson machines, they don’t come cheap, but they don’t disappoint. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
