DJI making drone photography easier

Techstination feature for Tuesday, April 28, 2015

DJI aims to make it easier to get into drone photography.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.      Good photography is very often simply capturing images from angles that we don’t ordinarily see things from.   And the new Phantom 3 drone from DJI is equipped with a camera…that can do just that…either in HD or 4K…depending on the model you choose.   The 4K capable Phantom 3 Professional is priced at 12 hundred 59 dollars.   Not cheap…but the capabilities are pretty impressive.   Director of Communications Michael Perry says it is designed to be smart and simple…

“We’ve made the user experience as simple as possible.  Based on our experience moving from an R/C space where you have very technical professionals using aerial equipment.   We’ve taken those learnings to make the platform as accessible as possible.”

There’s even a training mode that lets you virtually fly using the controller and your tablet.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
