Are you worried about computers or robots taking your job away? I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Most of us, 62 percent, in the U.S. at least, tend to think that the jobs we do can’t be automated. That’s according to a survey conducted by the big online jobs site Monster.com where Senior VP Joanie Courtney says that raises some concerns…
“Are workers not realizing the pace of technology and how quickly things are changing? And are workers going to have the skills for the jobs that will exist in the future?”
It’s interesting to note that the global survey found what Monster says are more realistic outlooks in parts of Europe. In Germany, for instance, only 46 percent of those surveyed believe their jobs are safe…
“Which is interesting when you think about that country which is so focused on engineering.”
