A clever new Bluetooth headset from Plantronics.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    Plantronics keeps on using its know-how to engineer better and more thoughtful headsets for consumers.   This time, with the new Explorer 500, the focus is on bringing higher quality to a device selling for under 60 dollars.  Product Manager Jim Staples….

“The Explorer 500 has the best in class audio quality for any mid-tier product on the market today.   We’ve made a 30 percent improvement in the noise reduction capabilities and a 4 times improvement in the wind noise reduction capabilities relative to the Mark II product that we’re replacing.  It’s got incredible audio and full HD voice, which is wide band audio.”
