Sony and Ford team up for better sound in a new SUV.    I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Sony and Ford have teamed up again to deliver a richer sound experience.  This time it’s in the upcoming Platinum edition of the 2016 Ford Explorer.   Marketing Manager Craig Patterson…says they’re using two new technologies…

“Clear Phase, what that allows you to do is if you’re in a vehicle and you’re trying to think of where the music’s coming from, a lot of time you think it’s coming from the speakers.  Clear Phase puts the instruments and the singers and images them in front of you.  So it appears as if the music is coming from the dash or from the front of the vehicle.  So it’s like being at a live performance.   And then we ramp that up with one more feature called Live Acoustics.   What that does is give you a concert hall feel.”
