A good smartphone that won't take years to pay off: Moto E

Techstination feature for Monday, May 11, 2015

A good smartphone that won’t take you two years to pay off.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   The new edition of the Moto E is a great feeling smartphone with a rubberized finish and a 4.5 inch Gorilla Glass screen.   It runs the newest Lollipop version of Android….and has a decent camera too.    It may not give you the results of some of the more expensive phones out there…like those from Samsung, LG and Apple….but the 4G version of the Moto E…will cost you only 149 dollars without a contract.   Motorola’s mobile device business, by the way, is now owned by Lenovo…the number one PC maker in the world.   The company is also competing in the wearables market with the impressively styled Moto 360 smart watch.    One new feature is the ability to pick your own style if you buy online.   The price?   About 250 dollars.   So for a lot less than you’ll pay for a more expensive smartphone off contract, you can pick up the watch and the Moto E to go with it.  You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
