Taking your console games with you.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    Drive maker Western Digital is out with a new plug in hard drive designed for Microsoft’s Xbox One game console.    It’s called My Passport X and it gives gamers a new way to play.  WD’s Courtney Kronmuller…

“It’s designed out of the box, formatted for Xbox One and PC.   So it’s a really great drive if you’re an Xbox One user or if you play a lot of games online and you don’t have enough storage on your actual hard drive inside the console.  It’s a two terabyte drive, so you can store up to fifty extra games on it.   It’s also really cool because it’s a portable drive.  So you can take it to a friend’s house and play all your games on their console as long as you’re logged into your own Xbox Live account.”

That makes it worthwhile for lots of gamers.  Set up is simple and the design fits in nicely with the Xbox One.  The My Passport X sells for about a hundred dollars.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
