A company that helped pioneer the sound bar for TVs,  puts its focus on the sound base.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   ZVOX has been around for about a dozen years…after founder Tom Hannaher came up with a plan for more simple and affordable sound system for home theatres.   Today, the company’s line up includes a variety of sound bases designed to go under your TV.   And, Hannaher says, they are affordable…

“Our introductory, Bluetooth equipped Value Series product is the model 350.   It’s a slim line cabinet, it’s got a powered subwoofer built into it, three speakers, left, right and center.  A high end Bluetooth system that allows you to stream audio directly from your phone or tablet and it sells for 250 dollars.  A price point that we find most people consider affordable.”
