More flexibility for Livescribe 3

Techstination feature for Thursday, July 9, 2015

Livescribe’s latest smartpen gains more versatility.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Livescribe, the company with more experience than any other at creating pens that bring writing on paper into the digital age,  is now out with an Android app for the Livescribe 3.   Communications Director Brian Kemp…

“Basically you can take one smartpen and if you’ve got an iPhone or an Android tablet or any mix of those, you can use that same smartpen to take notes on both devices and then store everything so you’ve got your notes everywhere you go.”

You have to make sure your phone supports Bluetooth LE to use it.  Recent Samsung and Nexus devices and an iPhone 4S or newer should have no problem.   Notes taken with Livescribe can be stored in cloud services and easily turned into text.  You can find the Livescribe 3 for about 130 dollars.   There’s more info at Livescribe.com.  You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
