Ford bets its presence in Silicon Valley will pay off.    I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    Ford is making it clear that its new Research and Innovation Center in Palo Alto isn’t just for show.   The automaker….which had already been delivering more and more useful sensors and cameras in consumer vehicles…is using the center to shift into a higher gear.   Director and Henry Ford Technical Fellow Jim Buczkowski…

“So the facility is really set up to do some research, across organization too, from information technology to product related marketing and sales, human machine interface, autonomous vehicles.  So it really is a cross functional group of folks looking into how to tap into the latest and greatest innovations.”
