The ONE Music Group's Smart Pianos arriving in North America

Techstination feature for Friday, July 31, 2015

A piano with enough smarts to teach you how to play.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   A line of Smart Pianos is arriving in North America from a company called the ONE Music Group.   Having surpassed its funding goal on Indiegogo CEO and Co-Founder Ben Ye says the pianos should be available in September.  There are portable and full size models.   Both have LED lights to guide the learning process…synchronizing with apps for iOS and Android.  You download the music…

“Right now there are thousands of sheet music available.  For the classical pieces, in the public domain. It’s offered for free.  With the piano, you are able to get the app for free and get all the public domain music for free.  And for pub music we have the license from Hal Leonard and Alfred.”

With sheet music available for purchase.   ONE Music previously launched in China…where the company says it quickly became the top selling pianos.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
