GoPro grows its stable of Heros.    I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     The folks at GoPro are at it again….this time…they’ve made an action camera….that’s smaller…and is waterproof right out of the box.   The Hero 4 Session.   GoPro’s Rick Loughery…

“So you could take this down to ten meters without a housing.  It’s a small, little block.  It’s quite powerful.  It’s really simple to use with a one button control.   You just press the  button on top, it starts recording.  Press it again, to have it stop and it powers it off at the same time.  And then if you wanted to shoot photos, you just press the top but hold it down for about four seconds.”

It’s that simple and it can be controlled via a smartphone app too.  The design and size mean the Session doesn’t have a built in screen or removable battery….and doesn’t shoot 4K video.     But if small and instantly waterproof are priorities….it won’t disappoint.   The price…about four hundred dollars.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
