An action cam that knows when you’re pumped.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Tom Tom, best known for its navigation devices, is making a splash in the action cam category with the Tom Tom Bandit.   It’s cylinder shaped, rugged, and says Tom Tom President Jocelyn Vigreux…

“The companion app to the device will immediately make a shareable small movie out of longer footage.  And all that is done because the camera is chock full of sensors, altimeter, accelerometer, GPS, you can even connect your heart rate.”

And all of that data lets the app know when the good stuff is happening in the video.   There’s an adapter that lets the Bandit use standard GoPro mounts and the rotating lens makes orienting the camera easy.   It can shoot up to 4K and sells for about four hundred dollars.    You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
