A new email app for iPhones.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     Apple is giving fans some new reasons to buy iPhones.   A company called Jumpin Labs is out with a new  app…designed to make email on the devices even better.   It’s called Geronimo.  Founder and CEO Erik Lukas says by default it uses a horizontal rather than vertical layout for your mail…

“A horizontal timeline, that’s the start of it.  And then we’re also doing a lot of motion and gesture based interaction.   For triaging email, you can pick individual emails up or select multiple emails, stack them up and toss them to any of the four corners of the app to sort things, to triage it.  You can customize to the corners and the other ones are a little more traditional like label and archiving items.”
