Vizio ups its game with a new Reference Series of TVs.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    Vizio is a consumer electronics company that has become best known for delivering quality flat screen TVs at affordable prices.    But now the company is showing that it can compete in the very high end of the business too with the Vizio Reference Series.   The two models include what is called a High Dynamic Range solution with Dolby Vision playback technology.  A 65 inch screen is priced at about 6 thousand dollars and a 120 inch model comes in at a whopping 130 thousand dollars.   Yikes.    Senior Product Marketing Manager Carlos Angulo the features will eventually work their way down into lower priced TVs…

“Yeah.  At some point, just like all technologies, you will see that trickle down.  At the moment, it’s available on the Reference Series 65 inch and 120 inch.”
