The latest Uncarrier move by T-Mobile lets customers stream unlimited video. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. T-Mobile continues its disruption of the way mobile carriers do business. This time, it has announced what it calls Binge On….allowing customers with 3 gigabyte plans and above to stream from a wide variety of online video sources, including Netflix, without using up the LTE data in their plans. The video is being compressed to 480p….but still….it is a breakthrough for mobile users. Senior VP Terry Hayes…
“We’re announcing with 20 different video stream suppliers. Most notably Netflix, Hulu, HBO, ESPN, Sling video. There’s about 20 all in all. But like our Music Freedom, we’re expecting many more to come.”
