Which gadgets are the most wanted this holiday season?    I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.      The folks at SquareTrade,  who sell protection plans for electronics of various types….are out with the results of a survey  of what’s hot this holiday season.   And there are a few surprises.   Director of Field Operations Jarrett Stringfellow….

“The top of the list you’ve got your Apple devices, kind of par for the course.  iPhone 6S, iPad Mini, Apple Watch.  But I think a couple of things that are new to the list that I think people might not have realized are drones.  Twenty percent of people we surveyed reported that a drone was at the top of their list this year.”

Also making the list… Gameband Minecraft and the Petzi Treat Cam.   That’s a camera that lets pet owners check on their cat or dog from anywhere….talk to them…and with a push of a button on their phone…dispense a treat.  

“Those are things that we haven’t seen on this list in years past and that were big surprises for us.”
