Where are those reading glasses when you need them?    I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   If it seems that no matter how many pair of glasses you own, they’re never around when you need them, you are far from alone.     But your mobile phone can come to the rescue!    A company called ThinOptics has created super slim, bendable glasses, that slip into a phone case.   Co-Founder Darren Lancaster says it took quite a bit of engineering to get the idea to work…

“They have a flexible bridge that allows the glasses to flex and then grip to your nose.  They’re made of bullet proof polycarbonate.  So the frames of the glasses are so durable that we back them for life.”

Remarkably, the lifetime replacement covers loss as well as breakage.   You only pay for shipping and handling.   The Thin Optics glasses don’t have arms, so they aren’t really designed to be used while you’re active.  They sell for about 25 dollars with a universal pod and there are specific phone cases too.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
