Need memory for holiday gadgets? Kingston.

Techstination feature for Wednesday, December 30, 2015

New drone? New camera?  New computer?  New phone?   Maybe it’s time to buy some memory.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    If you’ve unwrapped one of those new toys this holiday season….chances are you can use some added memory.   The folks at Kingston Technology have a variety of solutions that make sense and the good news for consumers is prices have fallen pretty dramatically.    Kingston’s David Leong says you don’t always need the most expensive memory card out there…

“Look at specs of the device, be it a GoPro, be it a phone.  For example, be it a GoPro, you know you’re probably going to be able to probably shoot 4K video.  So you’re going to want a faster card for that.  If you’re buying a card for a mobile phone, you don’t need to buy a top of the line card.”

If you want to add storage to a PC or gaming console,  Kingston’s HyperX Savage USB Flash drives deliver great performance in capacities up to 256 gigabytes.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
