Everyone wants to connect with Alexa.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     Amazon’s Echo….the connected digital assistant for the home that by default goes by the name Alexa….is becoming increasingly popular.   You can use Alexa…to control all kinds of smart home devices.   At this month’s Consumer Electronics Show, Ford announced…

“Kind of brain stormed some ideas and we put together some proof of concepts on how to connect Amazon Echo and Alexa to get status of your Ford electric vehicle or hybrid vehicle,  as well as in the vehicle, when you’re driving in the vehicle, using a connection through Alexa to your home.”

Ford’s Director of Electrical and Electronics Systems Jim Buczkowski.   The Ooma telephone device has also now connected with Alexa.  VP Dennis Peng…

“Our users will be able to make phone calls just by saying a command."
