A wrist band that captures what was already said: Kapture

A wrist band that captures what was already said.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    There are all kinds of wearables on the market…most of them related to fitness and health.   A company called Kapture…with a K…is taking a different approach with a wrist worn device that is constantly recording the sound around you.   When you hear something you want to save…your baby’s first words for instance…you tap twice on the device and the previous minute of sound is saved to your smartphone.   Co-founder Matthew Dooley says the use case scenarios are pretty wide ranging…

“One that we discovered that’s pretty powerful and happens quite often is what you mentioned, parents with young children, because they are constantly saying things that you wouldn’t expect and they are experiencing a lot of first moments.”

The app lets you edit and share the audio if you choose.  Keep in mind, it does need daily charging because of that always on feature.   The price, about 129 dollars.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
