Smarter car navigation devices.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    The folks at Garmin are bringing some new capabilities to those familiar after market navigation screens.     Garmin’s Cesar Palacios says the new Garmin Drive line up has four models that include driver safety alerts typically found in luxury cars…

“You’ll have the basic Garmin Drive and then you’ll have the Garmin DriveSmart which offers smart notifications focuses on smart notifications.  And then we’ll have the Garmin DriveAssist which basically gives us a built in dash cam.  And then we’ll have, finally, the Garmin DriveLuxe which is our higher end GPS unit that has a stylish, forged in metal, design.”
