New cameras from Ricoh Imaging. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. It’s been a long time coming, but Ricoh Imaging has introduced the Pentax K-1….a digital camera with a full frame sensor. Also new in the line up are the WG-M2 full waterproof action adventure camtera….and a new special edition of the Pentax K3-II Digital SLR. Ricoh Imaging Americas President Jim Malcolm says the new K-1, is priced at a very competitive 18 hundred dollars. And…
“We have what’s called in camera shake reduction and this allows us to give all kinds of features that our competitors can’t offer. One of the most exciting ones is called Astro Tracer. And this way we can set the camera on a tripod. Use the built in GPS in the camera and then take up to a five minute exposure of the stars without getting those star trails.”
The K-1 can also shoot HD video…but not 4K. The camera is due to arrive next month. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
