WhoApp transforms unknown numbers into names, faces & more

A free iPhone app to help ID unwanted calls.    I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    TelTech Systems, a company that has created other impressive apps like TapeAcall…is out with WhoApp.   VP Ethan Garr says in a nutshell, WhoApp is an iOS app….

“That lets you turn unknown numbers into names and addresses, profile pictures and even street views of homes and offices even before you answer your phone which is something iPhone users have never been able to do before.   With WhoApp you’ll really know who is calling even before you answer.”

The company does it by routing incoming calls that you don’t immediately pick up to WhoApp where they’re matched against dozens of data sources…and then sent back to your phone.   The app is free, but again, for now at least is only on iOS.    There’s more info on WhoApp and the company’s other software at TelTech.co.   You can find us with a full archive of reports and interviews at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
