Need inspiration for the success of women in tech?   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    Marcy Klevorn has been with Ford…for 32 years now.   And since early last year she has held the title of Chief Information Officer.   And her advancement comes at a time when companies like Ford are evolving into tech companies as much as car companies.   And Klevorn has devoted herself to encouraging girls to jump into the field….

“I’ve been sponsoring Girls Who Code, we started a relationship there in Palo Alto.   I was just out there.  We had our first class of girls come through and I got to spend some time with them.  So I think we all have a big responsibility here.  If we don’t engage the entire potential workforce, which 50 percent roughly is female, I think we’re going to have some issues in the long run just having enough qualified workers.”
