The ex-Verizon pitchman switches to Sprint.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    It was a salvo launched by Sprint in the form of a commercial during this month’s NBA finals.    The Can you hear me now former pitchman for Verizon…in a commercial for Sprint…talking about why he switched.    Sprint VP Dave Tovar says the point is …Sprint has built out its LTE network to the point where the difference between its network and Verizon’s is only about one percent…

“And so for us, we think it really comes down to what should you pay for the service.   And we don’t think people should have to over pay for the same service.  And so we are offering a deal that we’ve had now for about six months where we’ll take your plan and whatever you’re paying with one of the other national carriers and you can pay fifty percent less.”
