A solar powered tent with its own trailer.    I’m Fred Fishkin with BootCamp, your techstination for gadgets and gear.        Some of the best RVs are designed to make very clever use of any space available.  But clever doesn’t even begin to describe what the folks at SylvanSport have put together.   The SylvanSport Go is a small 840 pound trailer…that can be pulled by a small car.  From there, says founder Thomas Dempsey…

“It includes a pod that has a tent that is much more than a typical tent.  It’s about three times heavier in terms of fabric.  It has a king size and a half worth of bed space, including the mattresses inside.  A table, seating for four comfortably, all inside this pod that sits on top of this aluminum framed trailer.”

And through a partnership with Goal Zero, it can all be powered by the sun.  There’s more storage by the way on top.   The 9 thousand dollar price tag may put it out of the reach of some, but for an off grid road trip, it sure looks like fun.  You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
