More tech in tools.   I’m Fred Fishkin with BootCamp, your Techstination for gadgets and gear.   Milwaukee is a company with a rich history of providing no nonsense tools for a variety of trades and for do it your selfers.    Now the company is using Bluetooth to create what it calls One Key technology.  It’s used in 18 volt battery packs labelled M18 Fuel.   Group Brand Manager Kharli Tyler says it enables tools to use the One Key app…

“The first thing that that allows you to do is inventory all of your tools in one place.  The next thing it’s giving you the ability to do is actually customize and control your tools.  So today we have drills, impacts, compact impact wrenches, coming out with One Key technology giving you the ability to dial in speed and torque.  Later this year we’ll come out with a  Sawzall giving you the ability to customize the  performance on that tool.”
