Samsung recalls the Galaxy Note 7. I’m Fred Fishkin with BootCamp, your Techstination for gadgets and gear. As Apple readies the announcement of the next generation iPhone, consumers are again facing some tough choices. And Samsung is now facing a setback with one of its flagship phones. It has halted sales of the Galaxy Note 7 while it investigated several dozen reported incidents in which the batteries have caught fire. For customers who already have purchased the Note 7, Samsung says those phones will be replaced in the coming weeks. It is a dramatic, voluntary move by Samsung. And it comes at a time when the Note 7 has gotten some very favorable reviews. It is slim, has a curved vibrant Super AMOLED screen and water resistant. But the biggest differentiator is the S Pen….which is even better than previous versions. We’re hoping the move by Samsung to swiftly address the issues results in the Note 7 coming back on the market soon. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
