Here comes the iPhone 7.   I’m Fred Fishkin with BootCamp, your Techstination for gadgets and gear.   Announced last week…on sale this week.   Apple’s new iPhone 7 in appearance is not all that different from the previous model…the 6s, but as rumored, gone is the standard headphone jack.  Added…is water resistance and a dual camera on the 7 Plus with two times optical zoom.  About the missing headphone jack…SVP Phil Schiller says….

“From the start, we’ve designed Lightning to be a great digital audio connector.  Among all the other things it does, it provides a digital audio stream, provides power, it provides content music control.”

You will still be able to use regular headphones with an adaptor.  There’s also the option to use Apple’s new wireless Air Pods.  Apple also announced a new version of the Apple Watch…called simply the series 2.   What’s new is that the watch now has built in GPS and is waterproof to 50 meters, meaning it’s fine to wear while swimming.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
