Another new browser from the man behind Opera. I’m Fred Fishkin with BootCamp, your Techstination for gadgets and gear. Jon von Tetzchner won many fans around the world for the Opera browser he co-created more than twenty years ago. He departed the company in 2011…but now he has returned with a browser called Vivaldi. What’s new? Von Tetzchner says personalization is the key…
“I mean when you download it, you’ll notice straight ahead that it’s more colorful. It’s, in my humble opinion, more beautiful than any other browser. It changes colors with the pages you visit and it has a wealth of functionality out of the box that you find in no other browser. Also, it’s more personal. We believe that we’re all different. And the rights of every person to get a browser that fits their needs is crucial.”
Vivaldi is out now for Windows, Macs and Linux. A mobile version is in the works. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
