Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.    Ready for another big holiday?   I know we just got past the fourth of July, but you can bet that millions will be celebrating…if that’s the right word….Amazon Prime Day tomorrow.    Actually some of the sales begin tonight, sort of Amazon Prime Day eve.    This is the third annual event that the giant online retailer is holding…and the company says it is planning one of its largest total volume TV deals in history.   Amazon is so huge that Prime Day is liable to have an effect on productivity at many offices…with workers tracking sales from their computers.   And with the growth in Alexa devices, Amazon says there will also be exclusive deals only available by voice.    The event…midway through the year…is designed to get more of us to sign up for Amazon Prime, a strategy that will likely succeed once again.
