Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear. I’m Fred Fishkin. Using drones to help kids learn. That’s a big initiative at Parrot which is now partnering with Apple along with Tynker, Workbench and Mathworks to help young people learn coding and other tech skills. Parrot Education’s Mini-drones coding curriculum is now being used in more than 400 schools in North America. Director Jerome Bouvard says it has now being expanded worldwide…
“People, they are learning code in front of their computers. They are learning stuff in front of their screen. What we want to do with that is to take people out and they will learn, but outside, in the field at playing or learning with an actual device that is used in the real world.”
There are music and design elements involved too. For more, check out www.edu.parrot.com.
