Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.    After being laid off from his job and with a new baby at home….Robbie Cabral…came up with an idea for a padlock that uses your fingerprint to unlock.   The way lots of smartphones use the technology to unlock.   There’s also a key for back up.   He won awards from the Consumer Technology Association….which led to an appearance on Shark Tank last month…and a deal with shark Kevin O’Leary.   Now…the Benjilock is on the verge of making it to market….and Cabral says…what a journey…

“A lot of people sometimes get laid off from work and they feel like their world is kind of ending.  In my case, it was kind of ending, but sometimes through bad things, good things can happen.  And it’s been a little bit crazy in a positive way, so that’s good.”
