Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.        With 1.4 billion people around the world using Gmail…when there are changes…it is pretty big news.   Google is rolling out its most significant changes to Gmail to date….and the company’s LaToya Drake says they are more than cosmetic.  One new feature is called confidential mode…

“What this will allow you to do is set an expiration date on an email.   You may want to set a time limit on when someone can open that email.  Or you may want to restrict who can forward, who can print, who can copy an email.  These are the types of things that we built in. “

Many of the changes are useful and smart.  There are other security and notification changes too…that can help you get to the emails that are most important to you.   The changes are being rolled out…but by going into settings you can click on try the new Gmail now.
