Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.        Google has moved to further integrate its Nest products…with Google Home.      Google says it is planning to grow the team…that has created a new Hello video doorbell to go along with the Nest Thermostats…fire alarms…and cameras.    Google Technology Expert LaToya Drake…

“There’s a lot of technology, a lot of development that’s happening at Google.  And one of the things that we’re always thinking about is how can we bring the best of all of our products together.  What we’re also thinking deeply about and what the teams are working on is how can you integrate things like the Google Home and the Assistant into Nest.”

The lack of integration until now has been more than a little frustrating and puzzling for users.   The move comes at a time when Nest is facing more competition from Amazon’s Ring acquisition and its new home security line up.   Stay tuned.
