A gadget to guard the TV watching habits of your kids. I'm Fred Fishkin with Bloomberg Bootcamp. Unless you have a very late model television, you don't have the V-Chip, the high tech solution that is supposed to allow parents to use a ratings system to keep their children from viewing programs with too much violence or sex. The best solution is to monitor what your kids watch all the time. But who can do that? So a husband and wife team at a company called Fobis Technologies has come up with a TV remote designed for children... .that lets parents limit channel choices. It's called the Weemote... that's w-e-e-m-o-t-e. Forbis President John Stephens...

"At the time our boy was about five years old and ... .he was grabbing the remote and he was playing with it and getting frustrated and I took a look at it and I tried to look at it through his eyes and I thought, you know this thing is pretty complex. And then the other issue I had was he started learning how to channel surf and all of a sudden there were things that he was going over, not necessarily that he wanted to watch, but it was just that he learned to channel surf like the best of us."

Even two year olds can do that these days. So with the Weemote, parents can program which channels... up to five of them... their kids have access to. And the device is easy enough... even for toddlers... to use...

"And there's a channel surfing button on the remote, but it only surfs those channels that have been programmed in."
