Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.        The folks at Spin Master have built some great tech into some fun new toys for kids.   The little robot Boxer…priced at about 80 dollars…plays a variety of games with kids….with or without the use of apps.  Spin Master’s Tanya Gaspardo..

“So you pick which games you want to play…we have games like soccer, Bot pong, bowling…so you select which game you want to play.  You’ll put your bot on top of the bar code that’s on the back of this card.   He’ll use his sensor on the bottom to scan over that bar code and that will activate his system to go into that specific game mode.”

Boxer works with gesture control too.   As does the new Air Hogs Supernova…a drone protected by an outer ball that reacts to your gestures…
