BioLite's FirePit lets you control a campfire with your phone

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.        Cooler evenings now that September has rolled around….are the perfect time to gather round a fire….in the yard…on the beach…or at a camp site.   So what about controlling the fire from your phone?   The new FirePit from BioLite can let you do just that.   It uses a rechargeable power pack to power a fan channeling air below the fire…and that can be controlled via Bluetooth.   And the FirePit is designed to burn either wood or charcoal for cooking.    BioLite’s Erica Rosen says at about 20 pounds, it is portable….

“It’s got carry handles on the side and then on top of that the legs fold up and you also have this optional carry cover.”
