Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear. I’m Fred Fishkin. Now Facebook wants its own screen in your home. They are called Portal and Portal +. Newe video communication devices from Facebook…that can be pre ordered now for delivery next month. Pricing starts at 298 dollars for a pair and Facebook says they will also let you make and receive calls to friends using the company’s Messenger app. Beyond that Portal devices have Amazon’s Alexa built in. Amazon in the meantime has an update version of the Alexa Show. While visiting Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming I was able to take some family members back home along on a hiking trail…using my phone and their Alexa Show. Great fun….and there’s much more to come. Stay tuned.
