Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.     Two popular software companies are combining forces with the acquisition of Parallels by Corel.    Corel is best known for its photo and video editing programs while Parallels has been popular for years as well, primarily for software that allows Mac users to run Windows.    It also makes  the very useful Parallels Toolbox for both Windows and Macs.   Corel Executive Vice President Gerard Metrailler…

“We’re really seeing a lot of things working well together.   The Parallels team has really impressed us by the amount of innovation and fantastic products that they’ve brought to the market and really delivering a number one, leading product when it comes to virtualization, but so much more as well.”

And with the combining of the companies, Metrailler says the Parallels team will be able to do even more.     You can find us at Techstination.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
