Assurant finds need for more premium tech support

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.      When it comes to the connected home….a lot of us would be a lot more comfortable…if there was more help at hand when devices don’t work the way they are supposed to.    Assurant has conducted a survey…and issued a report titled Connected Now.   CEO Alan Colberg says Assurant has developed premium tech support solutions…

“Which is the ability to create a single call resolution when a consumer can’t get the thermostat they bought to work with the speaker they bought to work with their cell phone, to work with their WiFi router.  And we’ve now built the real capability that we’ve started to roll out to our clients over the last year or two..that we will take of making sure that consumers are able to use the devices they purchased.”

Sounds like a win win for all concerned.   The services are typically sold as a bundle to consumers.
