Sunflower Labs designs home security system with drone

Techstination feature for Wednesday, February 6, 2019

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.       It sounds a bit like science fiction.    A company called Sunflower Labs is developing a home security system that is designed to deploy a drone when garden light sensors detect people, vehicles or animals on your property.     CEO Alex Pachikov…

“If they detect something unusual, it will send you an alert, you can push a button and then it deploys our second component, which we call the bee, which is a fully autonomous drone which takes off from its base station and flies directly to where the action was detected and sends you live video of what’s going on.  You can have it look at any portion of your house.”

It can do a security sweep…or take a look around the property.  The drone then returns to its recharging station on its own.     Pricing and availability are still up in the air so to speak.  There’s more at www.sunflowerlabs.com.   You can find us at Techstination.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
