Amazon wants to deliver to your garage in partnership with Chamberlain

Techstination feature for Thursday, February 28, 2019

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.      Amazon is working to make it easier and more secure to get deliveries into your home…even when you are not there.    Not everyone is comfortable with the idea of giving front door access for deliveries when they aren’t around…but what about access to your garage.    Amazon is partnering with the Chamberlain Group to give homeowners that option.   Amazon’s Rohit Shrivastava says the idea is to use Chamberlain’s MyQ technology…

“And once you have those products, any of our Amazon customers can then remotely open and close their garage door directly from the key app, they don’t have to be around…they could be anywhere.  And if you are an eligible Prime member, then with this integration you can choose to get your packages directly inside your garage.”

The capability is due to be rolled out this spring.
